According to New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Care Services Department, by the year 2030 the 65+ population will more than double, making NM the 4th largest 65+ population by percentage in the nation. There will be more people 65+ than under 18. Currently, there are approximately 367,000 seniors age 65 and over in NM.
Selling Medicare is a year round business. The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October to December. The Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs from January to March. People already enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans can make enrollment decisions 6 months out of the year. In addition to those two enrollment periods, there are an ever increasing number of people turning 65 every month, people who have qualified special enrollment periods and those low income people who qualify for Dual Special Needs plans who can make a change every three months.
Seniors are looking for trusted advisors who can help them navigate this confusing world. One of the great things about Medicare is prospects can talk to you and it doesn’t cost them a dime.

STRONG LOCAL SUPPORT - Covell Consultants LLC has over 30 years of health insurance experience in New Mexico. We are based out of Albuquerque. We have an office that is staffed five days a week. We are local, and we know New Mexico. We will help you with all the ins and outs of setting up a Medicare agency, everything from compliance to marketing. Our goal is to make our agents wildly successful.
LICENSING - We will walk you through the process of becoming a fully licensed Health and Life agent to write Medicare. Our office offers support through the AHIP training certification process and testing, and the testing and appointment process. We help you get appointed with the right insurance carriers to ensure you have all the right plans to be successful writing Medicare in NM. You will learn how to become a resource for seniors struggling through information overload. You will learn how to develop a marketing plan that will lead to success. We make learning the New Mexico market easy so that you can sell smarter.
ONGOING SUPPORT - We conduct ongoing individual and group trainings throughout the year. You're not in this alone. We are always available with just a phone call, email, text, or in person. When it comes time to test each year, we provide ongoing support for that as well. We host meetings with each carrier every year when they roll out their first looks.
